Super-Hot Carol/Steve. Just what I wanted for Christmas certainly!

i need to get my story straight (1115 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] haipollai

A cute little slice of life fic, with snappy banter and a completely faily attempt at dog training.

something good waitin' down this road (2846 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] latenightcuppa

Great found family fic. Hits all the right notes to make me squee and laugh and go awwwwww.

Five Times Two Hawkeyes Talked About Sex (and the First Time They Did It) (3584 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] mayhap - Clint Barton/Kate Bishop, Kate Bishop/Tommy Shepherd, Clint Barton/Phil Coulson

Great, believable build-up to Clint/Kate. Clint screws up everything he could possibly screw up. But he gets it right in the end.

I'm Only Gay For Captain America (2720 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] kinky_kneazle - Clint Barton/Kate Bishop

Excellent 5-times fic. I love how this works through Clint's various excuses to himself in a very believable way.

Young Avengers

we make midnight a maquette of the year (1598 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] Lady_Ganesh - background Teddy Altman/Billy Kaplan

Tommy and Teddy bonding on New Years. A lovely look at the boys of the expanded Kaplan household. (I continue to maintain Billy has the BEST parents ever for taking in both his orphaned, alien boyfriend and his runaway mystical/psychic twin.)

Through the Mines (8775 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] Traincat - Kate Bishop/Eli Bradley

Kate and Eli fall into a long-distance relationship. Really deals with the aftermath of Children's Crusade and Eli's decision in a believable manner.

Fantastic Four/Journey Into Mystery/Young Avengers Crossover

Strange Aeons (6758 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] sevenofspade

Dr. Doom gets pulled into time travel shenanigans with the Future Foundation, the Young Avengers and kid!Loki and Leah. A brilliant and heartbreaking merging of the canons for Avengers: The Children's Crusade and Journey Into Mystery.

Ultimate Spider-Man

Following Weblines (7696 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] Traincat

Miles Morales gets pulled through a portal into the 616-verse. I've wanted to see how Miles would react to the main Marvel-verse since the end of Spider-Men and this does not disappoint. Also, totally makes me want to snuggle Miles.

The Adventures of Jackpot and Zombie Girl (3830 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] Traincat

Wonderful friendship-fic! I really believed the progression of MJ and Gwen's relationship here. And I love the idea of them coping with Peter's death by deciding to become kickass superheroes.

Calvin & Hobbes and Hobbes & Bacon

"Worked okay so far?" (3440 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] lalaietha -- Calvin/Susie Derkins

Sometimes Susie worries about whether her daughter's fantasy life is actually fantasy.

SO perfect. An adult perspective on that line between fantasy and reality that makes Calvin & Hobbes so great.

a brief history of western philosophy (702 words) by [archiveofourown.org profile] tashlae - Calvin/Susie Derkins

It's Susie's idea to name their daughter Bacon.

Short but delightful.

No Man's Land by [personal profile] ellen_fremedon - Lord Peter Wimsey/Doctor Who crossover, Gen - An absolutely brilliant crossover. Peter and Bunter and Jack Harkness in World War I, with complications. Ellen is the only author I know who can seamlessly combine old school and new school Who canon believably, while staying true to the spirit of both. I was nervous and uncertain when I saw this crossover listed, but it works beautifully.

Lies the Color of Your Crimes by [livejournal.com profile] ficsoreal - White Collar, Peter/Neal - In which Neal tries (and fails) to lie to Peter. A little angstier than I usually go for, but very well done.

and anyone who's ever had a heart by [livejournal.com profile] liviapenn - White Collar, Elizabeth/Peter/Neal - Fabulous OT3 stretching from pre-series to well-post current canon. There really is nothing I don't love about this story.

Making Book by [archiveofourown.org profile] LJC - White Collar, Gen - OMG JUNE! I have been wanting June fic so much, and this really is everything I could have wished for.

Yin and Yang by [livejournal.com profile] therienne - White Collar/Leverage crossover, Gen - Incredibly cool concept and execution. Two independent perspectives on the same events. Each story stands somewhat on it's own, but both are required in order to see it all completely. I love that the two narratives are completely independent of each other, leaving the characters all knowing only their half of the story.

the christmas eve job by [archiveofourown.org profile] hardlygolden - Leverage, Gen - Christmas-themed fic that works. Great use of the whole team.

Evolution of a Geek by [livejournal.com profile] gumbie_cat - Leverage, Gen - Twelve year old Hardison discovers geekdom.

Behind the Scenes by [personal profile] pocketmouse - Slings & Arrows, Gen - Season one as seen through the eyes of the tech crew. Exactly the kind of thing fic is great for.

Follies by [personal profile] pocketmouse - Slings & Arrows, Gen - The cast of Hamlet do a charity performance of Hair. Gets musicals in the classics and politics in the musicals. I wouldn't want it any other way.

All That's Best of Dark and Bright by [livejournal.com profile] mmebahorel - Tom Stoppard - Arcadia, Thomasina/Septimus - Lovely and bittersweet like all fic for this play is. Marvelous dialogue every bit as witty, intricate and layered as the original.

The Smallest Chickadee by [archiveofourown.org profile] MissJess - Robert Frost - Stopping By Woods on a Snowy Evening, Gen - A lovely and unique alternate take on the poem, both in pov and subject.

The Conversations of Women by [archiveofourown.org profile] Aycelcus - Strangers in Paradise, Francine/Katchoo, Casey/Tambi - Wonderful, fluffy future-fic. Great attention to detail.

We Are Six by [archiveofourown.org profile] nope - Eloise/Calvin & Hobbes crossover, Gen - Eloise and Calvin have adventures. Delightfully written in the style of Eloise.

Open Beta by [archiveofourown.org profile] aristgd - Anthropomorfic, Dreamwidth/Fandom, Fandom/Livejournal - The kind of story that reminds me exactly why I love anthropomorfic. A remarkably accurate fictional representation of fandom's love affair with Dreamwidth and with Livejournal.

Delicious by [livejournal.com profile] newredshoes - Eddie Izzard Stand-Up routines - Vikings and Canadians and Nazis, oh my! Reads like it really could be an Eddie Izzard routine.

Clap, Damn You by [personal profile] naraht) - RPF - Classical Composers, Benjamin Britten/Peter Pears - Every thing I know about these guys I learned from [personal profile] naraht's posts about them. Nevertheless I was able to follow this fic with no problems at all. Witty and clever and very authentic-feeling.

Nothing Rhymes With Ignatieff But Orange by [personal profile] trouble - RPF - Canadian Politics, Gen - OMG LOVE. In which Elizabeth May runs Canadian politics from her Secret Eco-Friendly Underground Lair in New Glasgow. So. Much. Awesome.

Second Guessing by [livejournal.com profile] carlanime - RPF - Canadian Politics, Gen - Stephen Harper is plagued by self-doubt, and Peter MacKay is plagued by his crush on Stephen Harper. Unrequited love, and kittens. Well, references to kittens. Really, what's not to love!
