The Affair of the Blanched Bibliomane (4176 words) by
pendrecarc
A completely fabulous bit of casefic with an outsider perspective on Peter. Also introduced me to a fabulous historical woman I'd never heard about before.
Particular Talents (1298 words) by
greywash
Oh, PETER. This made me cackle with glee. Bunter is an incredibly patient and tolerant man.
A Clean Fire (1359 words) by
harborshore - Harriet Vane/Peter Wimsey, Saint-George Wimsey/OMC
A great insight into Saint-George, with a much happier ending than Sayers had planned for him, while still feeling true to the characters and the time.
Discworld Series - Terry Pratchett
The Importance of Being Mostly Human (10434 words) by
gogollescent - Lobsang Ludd/Susan Sto Helit
In which Susan identifies "Where's My Cow" as a proto-talismanic anchor for Young Sam's continued health and existence, and tries very hard not to wonder what the Vimes' butler does on his day off. There may also be a lesson about the meaning of Hogswatch, but no one wants to talk about that.
Pitch-perfect Discworld fic that cleverly ties up some time-tossed loose ends from various books. Also, Susan Sto Helit meets the Vimes family! ♥ ♥ ♥
Opposable Forces (2109 words) by
CakeorDeath
A wonderful, melancholy look at the relationship between a father and grown son. I love how the grown up Young Sam is portrayed here, and especially how his relationship with his father is complicated and frustrating and loving and not at all sentimental or idealized.
Thyngs More Important Than Chocolates (1188 words) by
athenejen - Lobsang Ludd/Susan Sto Helit
Awwwwww. Completely delightful. I want to draw sparkly hearts around this fic, this pairing and this author.
Some Time Before (7080 words) by
neveralarch - Sybil Ramkin/Samuel Vimes, Adora Belle Dearheart/Moist von Lipwig
A glorious look at four complicated characters as their lives unfold and they choose who they want to be and find the one they want to be with. Very true to canon, while also expanding my understanding of especially Sybil and Adora in ways canon can't.
Going It Alone (1983 words) by
nomadicwriter - Mustrum Ridcully/Esmerelda "Granny" Weatherwax
A great look at the young Esme Weatherwax finding her place in life.
First and Foremost (2988 words) by
hollimichele - Carrot Ironfoundersson/Angua von Uberwald
What does it really mean to be a Watchmen first and a woman and a werewolf second? A great look at some of the women of Ankh-Morpork and the some of the unexpected costs of being a woman in a predominately-male career.
Chronicles of Chrestomanci - Diana Wynne Jones
Checklist (4303 words) by

Millie's boarding school experience is everything she hoped for, but not necessarily what she expected.
The Young Chants (9455 words) by
ryfkah - Christopher Chant/Millie
Christopher and his growing family. Completely delightful! Worth reading especially for Christopher being summoned as Chrestomanci while trying to calm a crabby baby Julia.
Such Balsam Falls (2418 words) by
speakmefair - Mordecai Roberts/Flavian Temple, Mordecai Roberts/Miss Rosalie
A wonderful, complicated story about Mordecai and Flavian and the long-term consequences for Mordecai of his time as Tacroy. Absolutely beautifully evocative and lyrical writing.
A Place to Call Your Own (3388 words) by
hhertzof
Janet's got a brand new life in a magical castle, just like she always wanted, so why does she feel like she's not what they wanted?
A great story about Janet adapting to life at Chrestomanci Castle.
A Little Princess - Frances Hodgson Burnett/The Secret Garden - Frances Hodgson Burnett
Prakriti (1954 words) by
recrudescence
Mary Lennox and Sarah Crewe meet and become friends as Land Girls during WWI. Lovely and achy.
Anne of Green Gables - L.M. Montgomery
What the water sprites saw (1708 words) by
ineptshieldmaid - Gilbert Blythe/Anne Shirley, John Selwyn/Persis Leigh
Lovely Anne/Gilbert. Sweet, sensual and very in-keeping with the characters.
Roll in the Burlington (2505 words) by
breathedout - Anne Shirley/Katherine Brooke, Katherine Brooke/OFC
Just wonderful and completely unexpected. In which Katherine Brooke's happiness looks very little like Anne Shirley's happiness. Great historical details about both turn of the century theatre and turn of the century queerness, with a bonus dash of Canadian religious/language politics.
The World in a Grain of Sand (1125 words) by
Nestra
I love Katherine, and it's wonderful to see fic for her and see her get to live her dreams.
Mirabile - Janet Kagan
Stumped (3860 words) by
Fabrisse - Leonev Denness/Annie Masmajean
MIRABILE FIC! A thing I'd never thought to find. And it's wonderful. A great little bio-mystery and a pleasing catch-up with all the characters.
Books of the Raskura - Martha Wells
Nesting Instincts (2777 words) by
Measured_Words - Jade/Moon (Raksura), Chime/Moon (Raksura)
Moon, Chime and the importance of found family. Lovely and very in-keeping with the spirit of the books.
